Calibration Instructions

Adjust the highlight slider until the highlights are slightly below your personal preference
(For maximum dynamic range set the slider to -100)

Adjust the exposure slider until the photo looks slightly underexposed

Adjust the shadows slider until the shadows are slightly above your personal preference

Adjust the whites slider to match your personal preference

Adjust the blacks slider to match your personal preference

Adjust the temperature slider to match your personal preference

Adjust the tint slider to match your personal preference

Adjust the hues in the color tab to match your personal preference

Fix anything in the photo you feel needs to be corrected

Export

Select the newly added graduated filter
-
If necessary adjust the angle of the graduated filter until it runs parallel with the top of the photo
-
Adjust the top line until it’s level with the top of the photo
-
Adjust the bottom line until it’s level with the lowest visible point of the sky
(This would be the horizon if you can see the entire sky)

Export
Please continue reading if the graduated filter is adding unwanted color to an object obstructing the sky
Lightroom Classic

With the graduated filter selected, select “Luminance” in the range mask

Check the box labeled “show luminance mask”

Adjust the left point on the range slider until the object is no longer being affected

Export

With the graduated filter selected, select the eraser tool

Erase the area that’s affecting the object
-
Export

Select the newly added radial filter
-
Move the radial filter until the center is directly over the sun in the photo
-
Adjust the size and shape of the radial filter to match your personal preference

Adjust the exposure of the radial filter to match your personal preference

Export
